I keep a watchful eye on your dog/dogs , making sure that they are never put into a potentially dangerous situation like so many individual pack walkers do AND I'm not one of those dog walkers who is listening to music and eyes on my phone like so many on the streets of NYC.

~ Freeze A Wet Paper Towel (take on walk/rub on belly/chin/paws)
~ Cold Bottle Water (keep dogs hydrated)
~ Walk In The Shade
~ Consider attaching a lead to a walking harness rather than to their collar. Leads that pull on a collar can press on their airways and stop them from cooling down as effectively.

Walk in shade on a hot day ~ asphalt and sidewalk can be up to 15° hotter/or hotter - this is a known fact and can burn your dogs paw. Animals are stoic creatures. They will not cry out in pain like you or I in many cases. (Walking on very hot payment is a good example of one.). It’s always a good idea to check their paws to make sure t

~ If you will be out with your dog for long period of time - freeze a bottle of water and it will melt and you will have a chilled bottle for them.

~ After extended / long walk time on a hot asphalt / sidewalk - paws burn - try doggie booties. This is a great option to help paws.
~ Moisturize your dog’s paws - Consider moisturizing your dog’s feet daily to help prevent injuries like cuts, cracking, or peeling of the paws. Minor injuries like this can make your dog’s paws more susceptible to burns and other serious problems.
